Job summary

Cenveo in Smyrna, GA is hiring immediately for Machine Operators (Packers) on the 3rd shift (11pm–7am). You will load paper onto automatic folding machines, inspect finished envelopes, and work in a team to meet daily production goals.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 6 months in production, basic math and measurement skills, and good verbal and written communication. Training provided; hearing protection and safety shoes required.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of relevant production experience.
• Ability to read a ruler for quality inspection.
• Basic math skills and ability to work in high-volume environment.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load paper and pack finished envelopes on folding machines in a team.
• Inspect envelopes quality, label cartons, report variances, check production orders.
• May perform rework on finished product.
• Keep work area clean during and after shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are hiring immediately for Machine Operators (Packers) on 3rd shift (11pm - 7am) in our Smyrna, GA location.

Pay & Schedule

• $17-18/hr depending on experience + $1.35/hr 3rd shift premium
• Schedule is Mon-Fri with Saturdays required during busy season/business needs

Machine Packer Responsibilities & Daily Duties

• Load paper on to automatic hand-fed or web envelope folding machines and pack the finished product in a team environment.
• Inspect quality of envelopes, labels cartons, reports variances to key personnel and checks current production orders/schedules to determine daily production requirements.
• May be required to do rework on finished product.
• Cleans up work area during and at the end of shift.
• Other duties as assigned/required.

Machine Packer Requirements & Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of relevant work experience in a production environment.
• Quality inspection skills and ability to measure/read a ruler.
• Basic math skills and the ability to perform in a high volume work environment.
• Basic verbal/written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Machine Packer Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to keep up with a high-speed delivery output in a standing position for a full shift.
• Mental alertness to stop equipment when jam occurs.
• Ability to step up/reach overhead/manually feed paper into machine.
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
• Manual dexterity required to grasp objects; exposure to arm and wrist fatigue.
• Exposure to noise; must wear hearing protection and safety shoes.
