Job summary

Closets by Design Chicago Downtown is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator/Factory Worker to join our team. You will operate woodworking machinery and hand tools, learn product lines and installation techniques, and help ensure quality and safety standards are met.

The role requires multitasking in a fast-paced environment; some woodworking experience is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is helpful. Tools and equipment are provided, and the franchise emphasizes timely hiring and support.

Qualifications

• Experience in woodworking or cabinet-making preferred.
• Experience with woodworking tools is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Some experience preferred but not required.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Machine Operator/Factory Worker to join our growing team. The individual will be a shop assistant with the following responsibilities:

Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools.

Understand company product lines, machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques.

Follow quality and safety standards.

Maintain shop equipment according to an established schedule.

Understand cut lists for daily jobs.

Additional tasks or projects as defined by the Production Manager.

Job Requirements

Experience in the woodworking or cabinet-making fields preferred (32mm systems).

Experience with woodworking equipment and hand tools is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving skills, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Some prior Woodworking experience is preferred but not required.

Must have valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
