Job summary

ALPLA is hiring for an entry-level manufacturing position in our Bowling Green facility. You will support production lines, perform basic machine operations, monitor material quality, and assist with mold changes as part of a team-driven environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and a technical/mechanical background is preferred. Basic computer skills are required to document production details and quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Oversees overall line responsibility from production to packaging.
• Start / Stop the machine and perform parison controls.
• Monitor material control (weight distribution, regrind levels, tail lengths).
• Perform regular quality checks during shift and visual QC.
• Prepare machine for mold changes and ensure correct production quantities.

WHAT YOU WILL ENJOY DOING

• Overall line responsibility from production to packaging
  • Start / Stop the machine
  • Performs parison controls
  • Monitor Material control (weight distribution, regrind levels, watch tail
    lengths, etc)
  • Performs regular quality control throughout the shift and visual quality
    check
  • Prepare machine for mold change
  • Ensure goods are produced in correct quantity and in accordance with agreed
    specifications
  • Accurately records goods produced, and problems encountered during shift
  • Line clearance performance
  • Autonomous maintenance activities
• Assists Machine Operator II/Shift Supervisor/Mold Change Team with mold/color
  changes as needed
• Working together in a Team
• Maintain good housekeeping in and around the machine and within department

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Technical/mechanical background in Plastics Industry preferred
