We are seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Mechanic to maintain and support our Focke 350 high-speed packing equipment. This role ensures equipment operates efficiently and in compliance with product quality standards, output goals, waste reduction targets, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain Focke high-speed packing equipment to meet production, quality, and compliance standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, minimizing downtime through timely repairs and adjustments.
- Repair, maintain, or replace faulty components on high-speed industrial production equipment.
- Disassemble equipment to inspect and repair or replace defective parts.
- Use testing devices (e.g., voltmeters) to observe, test, and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
- Reassemble machines post-repair and perform inspections to ensure functionality.
- Clean, lubricate, and adjust machinery components as part of routine maintenance.
- Inspect machine parts for signs of wear or damage and determine repair needs.
- Test-run repaired equipment to confirm proper operation and performance.
- Analyze test results, error codes, and operator feedback to diagnose and address recurring issues.
- Document all repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts used. Order replacement parts as necessary.
- Refer to blueprints, technical diagrams, or manufacturer manuals to guide installation and repairs.
- Input codes and instructions for computer-controlled machinery operations.
- Provide hands-on demonstrations to train operators on equipment functions and features.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working on Focke equipment or similar high-speed packing machinery.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Experience with diagnostic tools and mechanical testing equipment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent record-keeping skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with production teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficient in operating Focke 350 or Protos 80/ 90 machines and lathes with a solid understanding of machining processes.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems effectively.
- Familiarity with logic controllers used in manufacturing settings.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations in production tasks.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
