Job summary

Staff Perm, LLC seeks a Machine Maintenance Technician for the Townsend, MA area on the 3rd shift. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, quick repairs, and keeping production lines up and running during the 11:00pm–7:00am shift from Sunday through Thursday.

Qualified candidates will have a HS/GED with 2+ years in maintenance or a technical certification, experience in production environments, knowledge of machine tools, and basic electrical/electronic repair skills.

Responsibilities

• Maximizes production up time and quality by keeping machines and plant running.

• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment; uses measuring/testing instruments to locate problems.
• Trains production staff in routine preventive maintenance.

Machine Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

The Machine Maintenance Technician will complete preventative maintenance requirements (equipment, conveyor systems, production machines); performs minor repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and other aspects of the physical plant.

LOCATION: Townsend, MA 01469

POSITION: Contract

SCHEDULE: 3rd Shift - 11:00pm to 7:00am - Sun to Thurs

PAY RATE: $25.00hr - 29.00hr - manager will decide DOE

• Responsible for Maximizing production up time and high-quality products by ensuring machines and physical plant are operating at optimum levels.
• Completes preventative maintenance requirements (equipment, conveyor systems, production machines); performs minor repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and other aspects of the physical plant.Provides ongoing troubleshooting and repair of equipment.Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devised in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing instruments.Restores machine operations by diagnosing extent of repairs required, refitting, repairing, replacing parts, or making adjustments.
• Trains production employees in routine preventative maintenance techniques.

Basic Qualifications

• Education and Experience: HS/GED and 2 years experience or Tech Cert.
• Experience in maintenance in a production environment.
• Knowledge of machine tools.
• Basic electrical and electronic repair knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education and Experience: Mechanical, electrical and computer certification preferred.
• Ability to follow diagrams, schematics, manuals, instructions and engineering specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Experience with troubleshooting electromechanical equipment.
