The Retail Network in West Bridgewater, MA is seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain manufacturing equipment across the plant. You will handle routine maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and support continuous improvement on a rotating day/night schedule.

Job description

Our client is a leading manufacturer of spouted flexible pouches and caps in North America, operating from a state-of-the art manufacturing facility in West Bridgewater.

They are seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician with experience in repairing manufacturing equipment. You will be responsible for routine repairs, respond to equipment breakdowns, and carry out scheduled preventive maintenance throughout the plant.

Work schedule is a rotating Day & Night shift to include every other weekend. Hours are 6:00pm - 6:00am.

Hourly rate pay is $28-$36/hour depending on experience, with a mid week shift (Mon-Fri) differential of $2hr and a weekend shift (Sat-Sun) differential at $3hr. This also includes a generous benefit package and great work environment.

Qualifications required

• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• General maintenance skills
• Knowledge of PLC’s a plus
• Knowledge of setting up Camera’s a plus
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Electrical background a plus
• Knowledge of heat sealing process a plus
• Good attitude: ability to work well with others and be a team player

Essential functions and responsibilities

• Routine machine and equipment maintenance and repair
• Product changeovers as needed
• Work on continuous improvement projects as needed
• Notify lead of needed extended repairs and or spare parts
• Completion of all pertinent maintenance paperwork
• Be part of Corrective Action teams
• Help out production team as needed
• Quality auditing and understanding
• Ability to perform quality testing as needed
• Report any potential food safety, legality, quality of food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel
• Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices
• Maintains product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality systems
• Must follow all company policies and procedures
• This is a Safety Sensitive Position (drug test may be required)
