Job Description

Position summary: Responsible for machine preventative maintenance, changeovers, set‑ups, and validations.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

• Perform quality testing as needed
• Approve in‑process production by confirming specifications; conduct visual and measurement tests; communicate required adjustments to quality and the production supervisor
• Assist with product changeovers as needed
• Back up to maintenance technician as needed
• Complete all pertinent maintenance paperwork and/or electronic data entries on tablets
• Have general knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Possess general maintenance skills
• Assist production team as needed; cover breaks and lunch
• Help with work instruction documentation
• Knowledge of heat‑sealing process is a plus
• Notify lead of needed extended repairs and/or spare parts
• Perform product changeovers and machine set‑up as needed
• Perform validations and fix any issues
• Conduct preventative machine maintenance
• Be safety conscious
• Set up barcode readers and cameras
• Report any potential food safety, legality, quality, or food defense concerns to the production manager or quality personnel
• Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices
• Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance, and quality systems
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Follow PPE procedures (Personal Protection Equipment)
• This is a Safety Sensitive Position (drug test may be required)
