TempExperts in Franklin, TN seeks a Machine Maintenance Technician for a first-shift role with some Saturday availability on a temp-to-hire basis. The position focuses on maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor and Head Mechanic.

Candidates should have 3+ years of repair experience, preferably on heavy equipment, conveyors, and hydraulic systems, and be skilled with hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of repair experience on heavy equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and manuals.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong tool skills are essential.
• Experience with hydraulics, electricity, or related field is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and machines.
• Use hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, and replace parts.
• Weld and operate cutting torch as needed.
• Perform general repairs to plant structures and components.
• Keep work area clean and orderly; follow safety guidelines.
• Test machinery and discuss repairs with supervisor for approval.
• Replace faulty parts, wires, motors, and circuit boards.
• Install equipment and test to ensure proper operation.
• Dismantle equipment to access defective parts using hoists and cranes.

Machine Maintenance Technician Franklin TN Temp-to-Hire | First Shift & some Saturday Availability TempExperts is seeking aMachine MaintenanceTechnicianfor a thriving company in Franklin, TNL!

This employee will be responsible for overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor and Head Mechanic.

First Shift Schedule - must have weekend flexibility

This position requires 3+ years of recent repair experience, preferably on fixing heavy equipment, conveyor systems, hydraulic machinery.

Responsibilities

• Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special purpose machines.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, and change parts.
• Weld and use cutting torch.
• Perform general repairs to plant structures.
• Keep the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Test malfunctioning machinery to determine repairs and discuss with head mechanic for approval and repair.
• Replace faulty parts, electrical wires, motors, controls, and circuit boards.
• Install equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning or identify issues.
• Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
• Lubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation.

Requirements and Qualifications

• High School Diploma; GED or equivalent in training, education, or experience.
• Technical or vocational school certification or equivalent in training or experience.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals and follow step-by-step instructions.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability are essential.
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanics, electricity, carpentry, or related field.

Physical Requirements

• Lift tools, machinery parts, and other objects weighing up to 80 pounds.
• intermittent bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, stooping, and reaching.
• Standing for extended periods of time.
• Able to work under extreme conditions such as hot or cold temperatures, noise, dust, and dirt.
