rms Company, a Cretex Medical company in Minnesota, is seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician to maintain, repair and ensure proper functionality of manufacturing equipment. The role emphasizes quality, productivity and safety, with a 1st shift Monday–Friday schedule and opportunities to contribute to the Operational Excellence program.

The position requires 3+ years of machine maintenance experience, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, with benefits including

Qualifications

• 3 years of intermediate level of machine maintenance experience.
• Self-motivated and capable of working in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Intermittent exposure to safe levels of cleaning solutions, solvents, and solder (lead) fumes.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Occasionally lift 10-50lbs and to stand, bend and stoop.
• Work in a manufacturing environment around oils & solvents.
• Mechanical Aptitude.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform basic machinery repair.
• Install and align new machining equipment.
• Recommend improvements for increased quality or efficiency.
• Perform preventative maintenance per schedule.
• Work independently on projects of moderate complexity.
• Accurately record and report hours worked.
• Support and comply with Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements.
• Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work.
• Partner with sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance.
• Understand customer needs and core business markets.
• Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly.
• Participate in required company meetings.
• Maintain an organized work area (5S).
• Participate in Operational Excellence Program.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
