Job summary

Haleon in New York is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold safe operations, inspect and maintain manufacturing equipment, and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in collaboration with production and engineering teams.

You must have a high school diploma, strong troubleshooting skills, and be able to work 12-hour shifts including every other weekend; on-site role with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and reliability.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proficient in electrical and mechanical systems, understanding engineering drawings, and troubleshooting mechanical issues effectively.
  • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts and every other weekend.
  • Ability to carry out tasks that might require climbing ladders, lifting heavy objects, working outdoors, working at height or working in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with local standard operating procedures, FDA regulations, OSHA regulations and New York State regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and machinery used on site.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues and ensure prompt resolution. Assist in the diagnosis of machine electronic controls, sensors and drives.
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Document repair and maintenance activities and keep accurate records.
  • Participate in initiatives and programs to identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the site to include safety, downtime reduction or cast savings.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering team to improve processes and enhance equipment functionality.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
