Associate Director - Head of AI/ML - Austin

An early-stage AI HealthTech that has just closed a large round of funding is expanding its founding team, hiring an ML Engineer to help design, build and scale core ML systems and infrastructure.

You’d work closely with the CTO and CEO, having a large role in shaping the technical direction of the company.

• Design and build production ready AI/ML systems and infrastructure, 0-1 and 1-100
• Build, fine-tune and deploy LLMs in production
• Build and maintain data pipelines for model training and inference
• 3+ years of professional experience building ML systems and tuning models
• Knowledge of LLMs, NLP and RAG systems
• Strong experience with Python
• Ability to work in an early stage start-up high levels of ownership
