Robinhood is seeking an exceptional Machine Learning Engineer to shape the future of our core platforms, products, and customer experiences. Based in Bellevue, WA, this role emphasizes in‑person collaboration three days per week to accelerate progress and drive impact.

You will lead AI/ML research, develop scalable models for ranking and recommendations, run AB tests, and collaborate across teams to deploy production-ready solutions that solve real financial problems.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years in ML role.
• Masters degree in Computer Science or related field with 1+ year experience also accepted.
• Productionisation of ML models for recommendations, ranking, or personalization.
• Experience with ML model development for tabular data.
• Experience with modern ML techniques for sequential data.
• Hands-on experience with architectural frameworks of large, distributed, and high-scale ML applications.
• Produce robust business outcomes through AB test and rigorous statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• AI and ML Research: evaluate transformer-based models and large foundational models.
• Model Development: build scalable ML models for ranking, recommendation systems, and learning-to-rank.
• AB Testing and Experimentation: design and run AB tests and monitor results.
• Data Analysis and Insights: analyze experiments and validate findings with statistics.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner with engineering, data science, and marketing; present results.
• Tooling and Documentation: develop reusable ML libraries and maintain docs.
