Pratt Industries is seeking an entry-level Machine Helper on a full-time, on-site basis in Hammond, LA. Training will occur on the first shift for several months before moving to the second shift.

You will assist operators on presses, ensure setup accuracy, monitor quality, and help maintain production schedules while following safety and housekeeping standards. Qualifications are minimal: a high school diploma or GED and a strong desire to learn in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to read and follow factory instructions.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Basic high school math and practical calculations.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set-up slotting, feed, and die-cut sections on machine per setup techniques.
• Assist operator with duties and monitor production quality.
• Maintain pace set by the machine operator.
• Cross-train on other machines and progress toward operator role.
• Complete reports accurately and timely; submit maintenance requests as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and housekeeping standards.
• Support schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals.
