Job summary

LEM Products Inc. seeks a hands-on machine operator to set up and run finishing equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, following the Skills Matrix and quality standards.

You will deliver finished product to the next operation after each step, perform scheduled maintenance with the maintenance team, and uphold 5S and safety policies. Strong communication, MS Office proficiency, and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on machine operation experience in fast-paced manufacturing.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to communicate with customers.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
• Willingness to cross-train and follow 5S and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate finishing equipment per Skills Matrix.
• Produce Quality product in accordance with AQL standards and quality escalation procedures.

Essential Job Functions:Set up and run machine finishing equipment on which competency has been documented by the Production Manager, including chop cutter, die cutters, laminators, back slitter and similar equipment listed on the Skills Matrix.Willingness to fill in where needed based on training and skill set within the production facility.Produce Quality product in accordance with AQL standards and quality escalation procedures.Delivery of product to next operation after job step is completed.Performance of all scheduled maintenance operations in coordination with maintenance mechanic as directed by the Production Manager.Diligent adherence to the First Article Sign Off (FASO) and related QMS procedure.Cooperation with all team members in the efficient execution of manufacturing processesMaintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with 5S principlesMaintain a safe and injury free work environmentPerform related duties as assigned by the Production ManagerAbility to cross train is a must with this positionMaintain compliance with all company policies and proceduresDuties will vary depending on demand, ranging from machine operation to inspection/packaging.Key Competencies:Hands on machine operator experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment or demonstrated aptitude for machine operation and maintenanceExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customersComputer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook) and experience with an ERP system is preferred.Preferred Requirements:High energy, enthusiastic, success oriented, goal driven approachAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.Able to lift and carry up to 50 poundsAbility to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
