Job summary

ITW in Hebron, NY is seeking a manufacturing operator to ensure machines run according to instructions and procedures. You will support daily production goals and maintain quality throughout the shift.

Responsibilities include inspecting parts, recording activities, and coordinating with the shift lead and QC. Emphasis on safety, EH&S, and adherence to quality checks. Overtime may apply; benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend Operating Instructions and Manufacturing Specifications for the work performed.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations including ratios and percentages.
• Corrected eyesight of 20/20 for visual quality inspections of parts.
• Proficient with basic computer tasks and data entry in standard software used by the business.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial inspection of manufactured parts for defects and escalate issues as needed.
• Record shift activities using proper forms and job activity sheets.
• Communicate with the shift lead and QC inspectors.
• Replenish raw materials when needed and report machine issues to technicians.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Environmental Health & Safety standards.

General Accountability/Support:

• To serve as a member ofITWMedical responsible for the quality and production of the machines for distribution to our customers.
• To ensure that every machine is operating according to all Manufacturing Instructions and Operating Procedures.
• To practice and encourage courtesy and helpfulness among all team members.
• To become fully trained in all areas ofmachine operation as per Standard Operating Procedures.
• Follow allITW Medicalrules and regulations.
• Perform end of the day clean up duties as required, and any other required housekeeping.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial inspection of manufactured parts for defects; elevate issues as required
• Record all activities of assigned shift by completing properforms,i.e. job activity sheets, break sheets, etc.
• Communicate with the shift lead and QC inspectors
• Replenish raw materialswhen needed
• Report machine issues to technicians
• Good manufacturing practices
• Knowledge of Environmental Health & Safety
• Knowledge of Quality Checks

Qualifications:

• 0- 1yearsofexperience.
• This position requires the ability read and comprehend Operating Instructions and Manufacturing Specifications for the workperformed.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute ratios and percentages.
• This position requires corrected eyesight of 20/20 for the visual quality inspections performed on parts.
• Basic Computer Skills– Data Entry, CommonSearches, andother custom software packages specific to the business.

Physical Demands:

• This position requires some physical movement around the machine areas, andan operator standsfor 90% of their work shift.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crawl; and talk or hear.
• The employee must frequently lift and move 10-50pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Compensation Information:

Pay Transparency

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this role. Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, market level, other job-related factors, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. As applicable this role will also receive overtime compensation and may be eligible for shift premium compensation.

Pay Range:$16 - $22

Vacation - up to 80 hours of time within first year

Sick - up to 40 hours of time within first year
