MACHINE OPERATOR – 3rd Shift

COMPANY DESCRIPTION:

We manufacture high-performance Holographic, Decorative Transfer, and TTR products for the Packaging, Coding, and Lottery markets.

ITW ShineMark employs 300 people in the US (2 sites), Canada, UK, and South Korea.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Machine Operator due to expansion. The role involves setting up, maintaining, and operating machinery to ensure the uninterrupted and efficient running of production. A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. The goal is to ensure that production procedures are carried out smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits.

  • Operate and set up machines that mix chemicals, apply coatings, emboss holographic images, and slit rolls of film in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform a variety of machine setups and operations to imprint a coating and design onto various film, including material slitting and rewinding, as well as material handling and finished product.
  • Follow the production schedule to adjust and changeover machines.
  • Operate rewinding machines and ensure they are maintained.
  • Record production run quantities following SOPs, job orders, and perform quality control checks on products and materials.
  • Attention to detail and good communication skills are critical.
  • Operate and drive a Forklift/Fork truck.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk around the machines to replenish coating and perform visual inspections of the product; additionally, sit as needed, use hands for finger dexterity, handle, and/or feel.
  • Reach with hands and arms, hear machinery, fork trucks/forklift, and other employees, and have the ability to talk with others.
  • Complete a respiratory clearance exam and use a respirator as needed for certain aspects of the position.
  • Lift and/or move up to 60 pounds as needed.
  • Our campus is 100% non-smoking, and all candidates must agree to comply with this policy requirement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous work experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Ability to adapt to a challenging and demanding work environment.
  • Must be willing to work overtime, 1 to 2 weekends (Saturday and Sunday) at least 1-2 times a month.
