Job summary

Hydro Extrusions in North Liberty, IN is hiring for a Production Operator in a permanent role. The position involves operating a milling center, inspecting material quality, and ensuring parts meet specifications. Shifts include 1st and 2nd with a $1.50/hour premium, starting at $21.25/hour, plus comprehensive benefits.

The role requires blueprints reading ability and proficiency with measurement tools. Applicants should be able to discuss quality issues with supervisors and maintain machining

Responsibilities

• Operate milling center as assigned by team leader.
• Check material for visual defects.
• Gauge work piece to meet drawing specifications using calipers and micrometers.
• Deburr with hand tools before and after machining.
• Maintain machinery and equipment (oil, coolant).
• Ensure correct part numbers and counts on packages for next operation or shipment.

Starting Rate of pay: $21.25/hour

Shifts Available and Hours:

1st shift 5:00 AM -3:00 PM

2nd shift 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM

Shift Premium: $1.50/hour extra for shift differential

What you will be doing

• Operate milling center as assigned by team leader.
• Check all material for visual defects to ensure the material is not scratched, dented, bent, etc.
• Guage work piece to ensure meets drawing specifications before and after machining, as needed, with calipers, micrometers, and other necessary measuring devices. Must stop production and contact team leader when quality problems arise.
• Deburring with hand tools as necessary, before and after machining.
• Maintains machinery and equipment in good working condition, i.e. oil, coolant.
• Ensure that correct HALNA part numbers, customer part numbers, and piece counts are marked on each package that is sent to the next operation or packaged for shipment.

• Proven ability to properly utilize measuring devices.
