Pay rates between $19.00-23.50 with Attendance Premium of $0.25 and Shift Premiums of $.50 and $1.00 for hours worked during swing and night shifts. Longevity premium of $0.25 after one year of service.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Set up machines prior to shift start-up, attend to the operation of these machines, and adjust as necessary for changes due to production type.
  • Attend to and adjust machines during operation to ensure product flow through the machines.
  • Monitor machines for any mis-cuts of product due to improper settings.
  • Notify Maintenance Supervision of any machine malfunctions or required repairs.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping and assist other plant personnel in various areas of the plant as needed.
  • Assist maintenance in repairs and overhauls.
  • Spend approximately 90% of time attending to the operation of machines and equipment (e.g., leg processors, wrappers, CFS, PACMAC, STORK lines, and DAYPAC), making required changes, adjustments, and notifications as needed.
  • Spend approximately 10% of time assisting in other areas of the plant as required, while maintaining safety, housekeeping, sanitation, and disease control standards.
  • Help maintain and improve quality and food safety to ensure compliance with company quality standards and USDA regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Basic mechanical aptitude, understanding, and ability to use mechanical tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work in a wet and cool environment with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated dependability, especially regarding safety and attendance.
  • Physically capable of performing job duties, including lifting containers weighing 50-80 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods (8-12 hours) on concrete or metal grate floors.
  • Repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling, hand motions, and twisting.
  • Willingness and ability to work various shifts, overtime, and non-standard hours.
