Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Machine Assistant at our Asheville plant to support coater/laminator operations overnight. You’ll set up laminators, assist operators, monitor quality, and ensure safety and documentation compliance.

The role offers nights Monday–Thursday, competitive hourly pay with shift premium, comprehensive benefits starting day one, and opportunities for growth within a global leader in responsible packaging.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude is required.
  • Ability to distinguish minor imperfections and color accuracy.
  • Proficiency with computers and willingness to learn new systems.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain.
  • Commitment to teamwork, safety, and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and assist the operator on laminators to meet quality and productivity goals.
  • Troubleshoot lamination, web handling, and equipment issues.
  • Inspect adhesion quality, identify defects, and ensure customer specifications are met.
  • Follow all safety and chemical handling procedures.
  • Complete required documentation and reports.
  • Assist with training team members.
  • Communicate with supervisors, maintenance, and co-workers.

Job Description Machine Assistant- Asheville Role Overview: Unpack Your Potential

Join Amcor as a Coater or Laminator Assistant and play a key role in producing high-quality laminated products that protect what’s important. You’ll assist the operator adhesive and extrusion laminators or presses, ensure safety and quality standards, and contribute to a team focused on collaboration and continuous improvement. Schedule Nights- Monday – Thursday, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

What you’ll do:
