Job summary

The Keystone Distinction Group, New Britain, CT, is actively seeking a Machine Assembler to join our hands-on team and build high-precision machinery. You will assemble mechanical components, verify dimensions, and follow engineering drawings to meet stringent quality standards.

You will use torque wrenches and precision gauges, operate overhead cranes, and work within lean manufacturing practices. This is a full-time, on-site role with standard business hours and opportunities to contribute to

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in assembly or 5 years in machine tool parts manufacturing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive reaching and bending.
• Familiarity with documentation, drawings, and part lists.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Skilled in using accurate measuring devices with strong attention to detail.
• Experience with electrical wiring assembly and computer literacy preferred.
• Forklift license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and machines per drawings and schematics.
• Use precision tools such as torque wrenches, depth gauges, dial indicators, and digital levels to achieve tolerances.
• Operate overhead cranes to move heavy components safely during the assembly process.
• Follow Quality Standards and accurately measure in both imperial (inch) and metric systems.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to achieve production goals.
• Maintain an organized and clean work area in accordance with lean manufacturing principles.
• Adhere to safety protocols and use PPE consistently.
• Provide feedback and input to support continuous process improvements.

• Follow Quality Standards and accurately measure in both imperial (inch) and metric systems.
