Job summary

Oldcastle APG, Inc. is seeking a Materials Processing Technician to ensure materials on the plant floor meet quality and processing standards. You will troubleshoot and analyze problems as they arise and follow all process standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 3+ years of materials processing and manufacturing experience, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs, stand 8 hours, and work 40 hours with overtime as needed. Plastics experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or considered with relevant experience.
• 3+ years of materials processing experience.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment; plastics experience desirable (structural foam / injection molding).
• Must be a team player with good interpersonal skills and willing to support all shifts.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for 8 hours.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure materials and blends are processed at standard.
• Ensure cycle time and part standards are met.
• Ensure scrap goals are met.
• Establish primary processes to maximize quality, part and labor efficiency.
• Adjust processes to keep machines running efficiently.
• Maintain process books and record all changes.
• Support minimal flash in processes.
• Write necessary maintenance work orders.
• Drive cycle time and weight reduction initiatives.

Job Responsibilites

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience may be considered
• At least 3 years' experaince in Materials Processing
• At least 3 years working in a manufacturing environmentPlastics experience desirable(structural foam / injection molding preferred)
• Must be a team player with good interpersonal skills and willing to support all shifts
