Socket.dev in Cupertino invites a Mac Systems Power Delivery Architect to guide power delivery architecture across Mac hardware. You will lead cross-functional teams through power-focused product definitions and deliver robust high-volume designs.

The role requires SME in power electronics, PMICs, and DC-DC regulation, with responsibility for system-level partitioning, tradeoffs, and mixed-signal IC development from research to implementation.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with at least 10 years in power electronics design.
• Expertise in power electronics design and analysis for computing systems intended for high-volume production.
• Broad technical knowledge across CPU/GPU/storage/memory/power delivery/management, networking, I/O, and thermal management.
• Solid understanding of mixed-signal silicon processes, design methodologies, and tools.
• Ability to create, review, and approve engineering requirement specification documents.
• Strong analytical, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills for leadership briefings.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural guidance and leadership to cross-functional engineering teams for new product definitions.
• Lead system-level partitioning and tradeoff analyses.
• Define mixed-signal power ICs from investigation through product-level implementation.
• Drive innovative power architecture concepts for Mac systems.
