Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a Hardware Reliability Engineer to join the Mac System Reliability team in Cupertino. You will lead cross‑functional design validation, develop reliability tests, and drive continuous product improvements from concept through production.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, materials, electrical engineering, physics, or related field with 7+ years of industry experience.
Good written and verbal English communication skills; able to communicate via email, WebEx, and phone.
Ability to create clear, concise slides and presentations using Keynote, Excel, etc.
Strong attention to detail and curiosity about how technologies work.

Responsibilities

Identify high‑risk failure modes early in the design process and coordinate mitigation with design engineering teams.
Create new reliability tests based on failure physics and user behavior; ensure systems meet high standards.
Develop and deliver test equipment/specifications; collaborate with vendors to meet deadlines.
Support failure analysis and provide design recommendations based on test data to drive improvements.
