Job summary

Mercor is seeking 3D artists and video editors for a research project with a leading AI lab. You will work on real 3D and video production workflows on your Mac to help benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models.

This is a part-time role (approximately 10–20 hours per week) with an immediate start. Candidates should have 2–3 years of professional or freelance experience, or be enrolled in Masters studies in film, animation, or digital media, and own a MacBook.

Qualifications

• Must own a MacBook or Mac with Apple M-series or Intel, running macOS 15+.
• Proficiency in Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or After Effects.
• Experience in modeling, texturing, animation, editing, color grading, or motion graphics; reel/portfolio is a plus.
• Pursuing or recently completed Masters studies, or 2–3 years of relevant experience plus a Bachelor's from a prestigious institution.
• Ability to explain creative decisions clearly while working
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete and narrate real 3D and video editing tasks on your Mac to create high-quality training data for advanced AI models.
• Responsibilities are clearly structured with no pressure of internships or full-time consulting roles; immediate start preferred.
