Job summary

Mercor is seeking mechanical and CAD engineers with 2-3 years of professional experience, or current postgraduate students, to support a research project with a leading AI lab. You will work through real engineering design workflows on your Mac to help benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models.

This role offers a part-time schedule of about 10-20 hours per week with an emphasis on producing high-quality training data and narrating your design decisions.

Qualifications

• H hands-on 3D modeling and drafting experience.
• Familiarity with GD&T.
• Proven ability to explain engineering decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Complete and narrate real mechanical design and CAD tasks on Mac.
• Create high-quality training data for AI models.
