Toledo Clinic's Urology Department in Toledo, OH seeks a full-time MA/Scheduler to support clerical and clinical operations on a four-day schedule. RMA/CMA/CCMA credentials and prior medical office experience are required.

Hours are 8:00–4:30 on Mon/Wed and 9:00–4:30 on Tue/Thu, with no Friday hours. The position includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus payable within 30 days for credentialed applicants, with an additional $2,000 retention bonus after one year of service.

Responsabilités

• Perform clerical and clinical duties to support the office.

• Answer general patient questions and update medical charts as needed.
• Take and document messages in the medical record and relay to appropriate personnel.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and assist with procedures as directed.
• Other duties as assigned by the physician.

Toledo Clinic's Urology Department, located at 4235 Secor Rd, Toledo OH, is seeking a full-time (4 days per week) MA/Scheduler. This position requires the RMA/CMA/CCMA and previous experience working in a medical office. The hours are Mon/Wed (8:00-4:30), although these hours can vary, and Tues/Thurs (9:00-4:30). There are no Friday hours.

Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. If qualified, sign on bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT-A). For employees that have not yet obtained or renewed their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants may be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.

General Summary

Perform various clerical and clinical duties to support the operation of the office.

Works under the supervision of the Physician.

• Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule.
• Answering phones - courteously and professionally.
• Verifying referrals, pre-certifications, and/or patient info from referring physicians and/or ED. Prior Auth for medications
• Updating insurance information and ABNs
• Answering general patient questions and updating medical charts as needed.
• Taking and documenting messages in the medical record accurately and timely and relaying to appropriate personnel.
• Escorting patients to exam rooms, assist Doctors and bladder scans.

Other Essential Duties May Include but Are Not Limited To

• At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
• Completes patient ins paperwork/ BTW, return to school
• Schedules lunches/all interpreters.
• Other duties as assigned.
