Overlake Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant or Patient Care Technician for the Surgical Pre-Admission (SPA) Unit. This 0.8 FTE part-time daytime role offers hourly pay between $25.95 and $38.38.

Requirements include MA-C or Interim MA-C (WA DOH), CPR, EPIC EMR familiarity, CNA/NA-C, and MA-R licensure post hire. Overlake provides tuition assistance and comprehensive benefits.

We are currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant or Patient Care Technician to join our team in our growing Surgical Pre-Admission (SPA) Unit.

Part-time (0.8 FTE) / Day shift Schedule TBD

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a certified medical assistant program or previous military training/experience that satisfies Washington state standards required.
• Medical Assistant Certification (MA-C) or Interim MA-C through WA State DOH required (the latter must obtain regular MA-C within 6-months of hire).
• Current healthcare provider CPR certification required.
• Experience with EMR applications, EPIC preferred.
• CNA/Patient Care Tech Nursing Assistant Certification (NA-C) required.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program or equivalent documented nursing training experience.
• Medical Assistant Registered (MA-R) required post hire (Overlake Hospital will sponsor this licensure upon hire).
• Health Care Provider CPR Certification (BLS).
• One year recent experience in a health care setting involving patient contact preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and computer familiarity is preferred.
• Excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills
