Job summary

Penn State Health onsite role supporting Virtual Health services and coordinating patient flow, scheduling appointments, handling phone and pool messages and completing patient intakes and prior authorizations. Provide point-of-care testing to support two virtual health clinic locations.

Responsibilities include front-line administrative duties, coordinating with clinical staff to ensure timely patient access, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must meet current eligibility to sit for the exam with attainment of certification or registration through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistants within ninety (90)-days of employment date or current active status as a CMA or RMA through one of the approved agencies.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain BLS within six (6) months of employment date.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S)

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must meet current eligibility to sit for the exam with attainment of certification or registration through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistants within ninety (90)-days of employment date or current active status as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistant certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain BLS Certification within six (6) months of employment date.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S)

• Associate's degreepreferred.
