Job summary

Jolera Inc. is seeking a skilled Microsoft 365 Migration Engineer to lead complex migrations from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365, Exchange on-premises to Online, and tenant-to-tenant moves. You will document designs, runbooks, and risk plans while guiding client workshops and coordinating with stakeholders.

Required are 5+ years in Microsoft 365 administration, and relevant certifications. Strong communication and written documentation are essential for success in this client-facing role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Microsoft 365 administration experience.
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, document, and execute migration projects (G Workspace to M365, Exchange on-prem to Online, tenant-to-tenant).
• Lead client workshops and technical discovery sessions.
• Create migration runbooks, design documents, and risk mitigation plans.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and stakeholders throughout projects.
• Configure and optimize Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring security and governance.

Who You Are

We are seeking a skilled Microsoft 365 Migration Engineer who combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication and documentation abilities. The ideal candidate will lead complex migration projects while maintaining clear communication channels with stakeholders and producing high- quality documentation. Projects include Google Workspace to M365 transitions, on‑premises to cloud infrastructure migrations, and M365 tenant‑to‑tenant migrations.

This position requires availability to work 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern Time to meet client obligations.

What You’ll Do

• Plan, document, and execute various types of migration projects:
  • Google Workspace to Microsoft 365
  • Exchange On-premises to Exchange Online
  • M365 tenant‑to‑tenant migrations
  • SharePoint On-premises to SharePoint Online
• Lead client workshops and technical discovery sessions
• Conduct detailed technical assessments and present findings to stakeholders
• Create comprehensive migration documentation, including:
  • Technical design documents
  • Migration runbooks
  • Risk mitigation plans
  • User communication templates
  • Knowledge transfer documentation
• Develop and implement migration strategies with minimal operational impact
• Maintain regular communication with clients throughout project lifecycle
• Conduct effective status meetings and progress reviews
• Manage environment coexistence during migrations
• Configure and optimize Microsoft 365 environments
• Implement security and governance best practices
• Provide post‑migration support and knowledge transfer

Qualification (Must Have)

• Minimum 5 years of Microsoft 365 administration experience
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert certification

Proven experience in:

• Exchange migrations (On-premises and online)
• M365 tenant‑to‑tenant migrations
• Active Directory and Azure AD
• SharePoint Online and On‑premises

Deep knowledge of:

• Exchange Online and Exchange Server
• Microsoft Teams
• OneDrive for Business
• Azure AD Connect
• Hybrid Configurations

Experience with migration tools:

• BitTitan MigrationWiz
• Quest Migration Tools
• Native Microsoft Migration Tools
• PowerShell proficiency for automation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong technical documentation experience

Qualification (Nice to Have)

Certifications:

• Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Google Workspace Administrator

Experience with:

• Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager
• Microsoft Information Protection and Governance
• Azure Information Protection

Knowledge of:
