Job summary

Semper Valens Solutions seeks a Security Specialist II at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The role requires a Secret clearance and involves interpreting security policies, developing SOPs, managing classified information, and ensuring OPSEC compliance.

You will review DD Form 254s, support SIPR security, and participate in threat assessments and CPI evaluations while advising on classification decisions and safeguarding national security information.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of security-related experience.
• Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma required.
• Four years of additional experience may substitute for the BS degree.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and guide on security policies, procedures, and regulations.

• Manage classified holdings, conduct reviews/inventory, organize material.
• Review, develop and track DD Form 254 forms.
• Ensure OPSEC compliance and implement OPSEC measures.

• Participate in threat and vulnerability analyses and CPI assessments.
• Advise on classification, downgrading, and declassification of national security information.
• Maintain compliance with security requirements during organization activities.
• Perform key custodian duties per the program's key control plan.

Job Description And Responsibilities

• Experience interpreting, and providing guidance to program personnel on security policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Ability to establish, document and implement program security procedures/ standard operating procedures.
• Experience maintaining and managing all classified holdings, conduct reviews/inventory, organize material.
• Experience reviewing, developing and tracking DD Form 254 forms.
• Ensures compliance with Operations Security (OPSEC) plan and implement OPSEC measures.
• Experience providing Security Classification Guide (SCG) recommendations and compliance.
• Ability to provide organization Secure Internet Protocol Router (SIPR) security support.
• Experience managing and participating in the threat and vulnerability analysis/assessments, critical program information (CPI) assessments, SCG developments.
• Advise and represent the organization on matters related to the classification, downgrading, de‑classification, and safeguarding of national security information.
• Knowledgeable of and compliant with all applicable administrative and security requirements, while assigned to, participating in, or supporting organization activities.
• Perform key custodian duties IAW the program's key control plan. Participant with security assistance for test events involving program systems.

• Bachelor's Degree/High School Diploma.
• Substitutions: Four (4) years of additional experience may be substituted for the BS degree.
