Job summary

Semper Valens Solutions seeks an Acquisition Specialist at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD to develop acquisition packages and contract strategies. The role coordinates with the Army Contracting Command (ACC) and integrates product team reviews to support program milestones.

The position requires a minimum of ten years in acquisition, a Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting (substitutions possible), and deep knowledge of contracting regulations and reform initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as an Acquisition Specialist.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting.
• Substitutions: Four (4) additional years of related experience will substitute for Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop Acquisition Requirement Packages and contract strategies.
• Establish contract milestones in coordination with the requiring activity and the Army Contracting Command (ACC).
• Document writing during the Integrated Product Team process and participate in milestone and programmatic reviews.
• Act as a liaison between the PMs and ACC.
• Perform risk analysis on contracting milestones.
• Provide subject matter expertise on impacts of new contracting regulations/guidance.
• Initiate acquisition strategies and plans; develop, maintain and track baseline documents.
• Plan long‑range objectives considering budget, schedule or technical constraints.
• Knowledge of DoDI 5000.02 and acquisition reform initiatives.
