Job summary

Semper Valens Solutions seeks an Acquisition Specialist to support procurement and contract efforts at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. A Secret Clearance is required, and the role may be contingent on contract award.

Responsibilities include developing acquisition packages, coordinating milestones with ACC, and drafting IPT documents to advance program objectives. The ideal candidate brings at least ten years of acquisition experience, a Bachelor's in Business or Accounting (or equivalent

• Ten years of experience as an Acquisition Specialist is required.
• Bachelor's degree may be substituted with four additional years of related experience.
• Experience with DoDI 5000.02 and acquisition reform initiatives is preferred.

Acquisition Specialist

Location: Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Clearance Required: Secret Clearance.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

• Experience developing Acquisition Requirement Packages and contract strategies.

• Experience in document writing during the Integrated Product Team process; participate with various milestone and programmatic reviews.
• Act as a liaison between the PMs and ACC.
• Experience with risk analysis on contracting milestones.
• Subject matter expertise in impacts of new contracting regulations/guidance.
• Ability to initiate acquisition strategies and plans; develop, maintain, and track acquisition program baseline documents.
• Ability to initiate long‑range plans and program accomplishments relating to program objectives, taking into account any known or potential budgetary, schedule or technical constraints.
• Knowledgeable with DoDI 5000.02 and all acquisition streamlining reform initiatives.

Qualifications

• A minimum of ten (10) years experience as an Acquisition Specialist is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting.
• Substitutions: Four (4) additional years of related experience will substitute for Bachelor’s degree.
