Raytheon’s Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) strategic business unit (SBU) specializes in multi-integrated air and missile defense, advanced sensors, space-based systems, hypersonics, effectors and cyber solutions. Focused on program execution, business growth and the highest level of customer satisfaction, the ASDS team provides customers with unmatched capabilities of detection and sensing, command and control, and air-to-air, air-to-surface, and surface-to-air munitions to accomplish air, space and missile defense missions.

The ASDS SBU Engineering Execution Team is looking for a Senior Principal Engineer to perform as a Command, Telemetry, Control (CTC) Integrated Product Team Lead for the M2C2 program. for one of our premier programs on our Aurora, Colorado Campus. One of the primary tasks the IPTL will be responsible for will be leading the CTC component through planning, development and integration and test, all while meeting or exceeding scheduled milestones. Additionally, you will be responsible for the component’s cost, schedule, and technical performance baseline as well as ensuring the CTC component products come together technically for each delivery. Lastly, you will work directly with Program leadership, Systems and Software Teams and other Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTL’s) and external stakeholders to execute a multi-million-dollar sub-contract. This is an onsite role located in Aurora, CO.

What You Will Do
  • Responsible for execution of the CTC component within cost and schedule.
  • Responsible for innovation with respect to modernizing the CTC software baseline.
  • Develop and hire staff to execute the CTC component.
  • Provide strategic leadership on new methods to implement and deploy to operations CTC baseline with a low-risk approach.
  • Work with members of the senior management team to support and implement the organization’s business strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on scope definition and cost estimation.
  • Prepare and present technical briefs to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work in an Agile program environment.
  • Work in a classified lab on site in Aurora, Colorado.
Qualifications
  • You Must Have Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Experience leading engineering teams on Defense / Intelligence programs.
  • Experience in managing large teams (>30 ppl).
  • Experience driving cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Experience providing technical Systems Engineering plans and ensuring consistency across an integrated product team.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps Development.
  • Experience workings with all levels of a Program, customers, and technical leads such as IPTLs, Chief Engineers, System Architects, etc.
  • Technical and programmatic leadership experience.
  • Experience preparing and presenting executive level presentations and communications.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with Command & Control Systems and Components.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
  • Experience with onboarding new work, proposals, and Basis of Estimate (BOE) development.
  • Experience in Systems Engineering functions including Technical Performance Measurement (TPM), operations concept development, requirements management, technical risk management, interface definition and control.
  • Experience leading across geographical sites, subcontractors, and associate contractor companies.
  • Advanced STEM Degree highly preferred.
  • Development and/or Management experience on large software government contracts.

Salary

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
