Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in Denver, CO is seeking an M/E Engineer 3 to perform increasingly complex mechanical, electrical and field construction activities and to develop budgetary M/E estimates for projects. This position supports bid analysis and the overall preconstruction effort, aligning with JE Dunn’s strategy and values.

The role requires collaboration with design teams, coordination of M/E scopes of work during bidding, and involvement in sequencing, inspections, and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, architectural engineering or related field (Required).
• 5+ years construction and/or engineering experience (Preferred).
• Equivalent relevant experience will be considered in lieu of the above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Learns and participates in safety and quality plans and culture to support an injury-free environment.
• Completes entry level and routine mechanical, electrical and field construction activities.
• Develops budgetary M/E estimates based on program and schematic design information.
• Assists in review of mechanical and electrical options as part of preconstruction and conducts systems analysis.
• Develops mechanical and electrical scopes of work for bid process coordination.
• Assists with bid analysis and subcontractor selection input.
• Assists with sequencing requirements and scheduling for various systems.
• Performs inspections to ensure specifications and quality standards are met.
