Job summary

Alpha FMC seeks experienced Technology Due Diligence professionals to lead end-to-end assessments for buy-side and sell-side engagements in the financial services sector. You will evaluate technology landscapes, data, security, and integration implications while guiding client conversations and delivering actionable insights.

Open at Associate or Senior Associate level, depending on background, with opportunities to shape service offerings and build the practice from Day 1.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading technology due diligence on mid- to large-scale transactions.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise technology, data, cyber security and resilience.
  • Experience in financial services industry preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to distill complex findings into actionable investment insights.

Responsibilities

  • Run technology due diligence end-to-end on buy-side and sell-side deals, scoping questions and leading management sessions.
  • Defend a view on target technology landscape, architecture, hosting, and data condition.
  • Translate technical findings into investor-friendly language: value at risk and cost to fix.
  • Lead technology content of integration or separation, including data migration and Day 1 cutover.
  • Mentor juniors and support proposals and client discussions.
  • Assess product architectures of fintech or software platforms for scalability and roadmap credibility.
  • Evaluate enterprise estates and core platforms like OMS, portfolio accounting, and wealth platforms.
  • Size technology debt and outline remediation costs and hold-period implications.
  • Assess cyber security and operational resilience in deal context.
  • Take a view on AI deployment and potential cost-base impact.
