Job summary

Deloitte's M&A Technology Diligence team seeks a Product Architect Manager to combine technology, product architecture, and M&A strategy. You will assess target architecture, validate growth potential, and advise on post-close priorities to shape value creation for clients.

As a manager, you lead engagements, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and present findings to senior stakeholders, including private equity and corporate sponsors. Travel up to 50% is typical.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in product architecture, software engineering, or related field.
• Experience evaluating architecture, platforms, APIs, data flows and infra dependencies.
• Experience designing or modernizing complex software products and digital platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field; MBA with experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize technology strategy and select relevant tools to meet client requirements.
• Evaluate software products, platforms, engineering environments, and ecosystems for risks and value creation.
• Assess architecture quality, technical debt, engineering maturity, and scalability.
• Assist in product and technology architecture assessments for buy-side, sell-side, and carve-out due diligence engagements.
• Assess roadmap feasibility and architecture’s ability to support growth and integration.
• Identify technical debt, legacy constraints, and other risks affecting valuation or investment thesis.
• Review engineering maturity across SDLC, DevSecOps, release management, testing, observability, and governance.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders in verbal, written, and analytical formats.
• Collaborate with broader diligence teams across commercial, financial, operational, cybersecurity, and data workstreams.
• Support post-close planning by advising on integration complexity and modernization priorities.
• Develop work plans and coordinate activities between work streams.
