Plante Moran invites motivated students to join its internship in the National Tax/Transaction Advisory area, where you will work alongside professionals helping clients navigate mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and related tax implications. You will craft practical business solutions while developing technical tax and transaction advisory skills.

Qualifications

Detail-oriented individual with exceptional analytical, research, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strong interest in mergers and acquisitions, transaction advisory services, and tax consulting.

Responsibilities

Gains exposure to transaction advisory services, tax due diligence, and deal structuring on client projects.
Prepare projections of sell-side after-tax proceeds, buy-side tax benefits, and tax gross-up calculations.
Consult with clients and their attorneys on transaction structuring and drafting tax aspects of agreements.
Review closed transactions to document terms of legal agreements, tax characterization, and tax attributes for tax returns.
Participate in client-facing discussions and communicate technical conclusions to engagement teams.
