Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a Manager for our Transaction Services Tax practice. You will develop and deliver transaction advisory services to meet complex financial needs, working directly with Partners, and supporting buy- and sell-side engagements.

The role offers exposure to deal structuring, tax due diligence, and high-impact client interactions across multiple offices; open to location. 5+ years in a mid-to-large professional services firm and CPA or JD/LLM are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or a graduate degree with 4+ years of experience.
• 5+ years of work experience in a mid to large professional services firm.
• CPA or JD/LLM required.
• Experience in tax due diligence, deal structuring and post-acquisition planning; international tax research, planning and compliance experience.
• Strong written communication and Microsoft Office skills; ability to provide exceptional client service and uphold ethics.

Responsibilities

• Interact directly with Partners on client and engagement management.
• Model financial transactions for valuation, structuring and negotiation.
• Prepare detailed memoranda and presentations describing client companies and industries.
• Assist in the review and analysis of tax aspects of acquisitions and merger agreements; draft tax opinions and memoranda.
• Identify tax risks and opportunities while advising on alternative tax strategies for transactions.
• Review tax computations in financial models and assist in tax data analysis for transactions.
• Data gathering, document review and preparation of reports.
• Research and financial analysis of target companies; due diligence for buy/sell side transactions.
