Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a Manager to join our Transaction Services Tax team across offices. You will develop and implement transaction advisory services to meet complex financial needs and support clients through deals.

The role requires strong analytical ability, 5+ years in a mid-to-large professional services firm, and CPA or JD/LLM. Open to location and extensive collaboration with Partners and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field; or a graduate degree with 4 years of related work experience.
• CPA or JD/LLM required.
• 5+ years in a mid-to-large professional services firm.
• Tax due diligence, deal structuring and post-acquisition experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Interact with Partners on client and engagement matters.
• Model financial transactions for valuation, structuring and negotiation.
• Prepare memoranda and presentations on client companies and industries.
• Review tax aspects of acquisition agreements and draft opinions.
• Identify tax risks and advise on strategies for acquisitions and restructuring.
• Gather data, review documents, and prepare reports.
• Conduct research and financial analysis of target companies.
• Conduct due diligence for buy-side and sell-side transactions.
• Assist in transaction structuring for tax and accounting issues.
• Provide negotiation support and communicate with business owners.
