Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager to join the Mergers & Acquisitions tax practice in Boston. You will lead engagement teams in planning, execution, and delivery of complex M&A tax consulting projects, focusing on Section 382 ownership change analyses and related tax basis work for consolidated entities.

You will advise clients on the federal tax consequences of corporate transactions, prepare technical analyses, and collaborate with senior leaders to enhance service offerings.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of federal corporate tax experience with consolidated return expertise, Big 4 preferred.
• CPA, EA, JD/LLM or equivalent credentials required.
• Strong knowledge of Section 382 ownership change analyses and tax basis in consolidated subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement teams in planning, execution, and delivery of M&A tax projects.
• Advise on federal income tax consequences of corporate and shareholder transactions.
• Research and analyze corporate tax issues and prepare memoranda and opinions.
• Collaborate on development of best practices and tools for service offerings.
• Train and develop staff across the practice, manage engagement economics and risk.
