Job summary

Lincoln Financial is seeking a Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions to drive growth through strategic transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and reinsurance initiatives. You will lead cross-functional teams across actuarial, finance, legal, risk, and operations to evaluate opportunities and translate insights into executable deal terms.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of mergers & acquisitions or corporate development experience
• 5+ years of senior management experience in a large, complex org
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Ability to lead enterprise-wide initiatives across multiple business units
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking with excellent communication and relationship skills

Responsibilities

• Contributes to M&A strategy, goals, and operating approach in line with Lincoln's plans
• Provides thought leadership and technical expertise in life and annuity reinsurance for better results
• Evaluates market conditions to inform short- and long-term M&A strategy
• Oversees end-to-end evaluation of deals including business strategy, financials, and risk
• Manages transaction project work through due diligence, closing, and integration
• Executes deals and negotiates terms with legal to finalize agreements
• Coordinates cross-functional teams to translate objectives into deal terms and provisions
• Leads operational integration to onboard transactions and transition to ongoing operations
• Advises leadership on strategic opportunities and mentors team members
