Job description

This role will be a part of a Procurement team that is responsible for the full purchasing and payables lifecycle—from intake and supplier onboarding through PO creation, invoice processing, and payment. We partner closely with Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, Legal, Security, Tax, Treasury, and Finance Engineering to run smooth, compliant, and scalable operations. This role is critical to protecting supplier lifecycle controls, cash integrity, and operational efficiency during a merger or acquisition integration.

Role Overview

We are seeking an M&A Procure-to-Pay Integration Manager to lead Procurement integration across all suppliers of an acquired company, including the Procurement Operations and AP workstreams. As Procurement’s integration lead and central point of coordination, you will own the supplier transition plan, align Sourcing and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), and engage operational teams as needed to move retained suppliers into the company and exit suppliers that will not transition. You will drive end-to-end reconciliation between the acquired company’s systems and our systems (Zip, Oracle Fusion), cleanse and align the supplier master, and execute a secure corporate card transition (deactivate, reissue, reimbursements). You’ll standardize playbooks, resolve exceptions, and enable automation that reduces friction while maintaining strong financial controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the integration plan for all target-company suppliers, from a complete supplier inventory through transition or exit; coordinate decisions with business owners, track milestones and dependencies, and elevate blockers as Procurement’s central point of coordination.
  • Partner with Sourcing and Legal to coordinate contract cutovers for retained suppliers, including required amendments or assignments, renewal and notice deadlines, and supplier communications.
  • Work with TPRM to coordinate supplier risk checks, track required remediation and approvals, and incorporate risk requirements into onboarding and cutover plans.
  • Coordinate cancellation and offboarding of suppliers that will not move over, working with Sourcing, Legal, AP, and business owners on notices, outstanding obligations, final payments, and operational shutdowns.
  • Lead AP reconciliation across ledgers: open items, historical invoices, credits, and accruals; define cutover and payment reroute plans.
  • Drive supplier master validation and deduplication (banking, tax forms, remit-to, 1099/withholding); align to our schema and controls.
  • Execute corporate card transition: deactivate non-retained cards, issue new cards to retained staff, coordinate travel cancellations/clawbacks, and manage dispute/refund workflows.
  • Stand up and manage a unified supplier integration and reconciliation tracker with clear source-of-truth links (Zip/Oracle), owners, and SLAs; track supplier decisions, contract cutovers, risk checks, cancellations, and operational handoffs.
  • Design and enforce exception workflows (e.g., banking changes, tax status, large historical items), ensuring auditable approvals and SoD.
  • Partner with Accounting, Strategic Finance, T&E Admins, Tax, and Security to validate mappings, journals, and close dependencies.
  • Improve intake forms, validations, and automation triggers in Zip/Oracle; document SOPs and handover materials.
  • Provide crisp weekly status to leadership with metrics, risks, and mitigations.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 6+ years in P2P/AP operations with hands-on M&A integration or carve-out experience.
  • Deep working knowledge of Oracle Fusion and/or Zip, or an equivalent ERP/P2P system
  • Proven supplier master hygiene and banking/tax validation experience; strong grasp of 2/3-way match, accruals, payment calendars.
  • Familiarity with corporate card programs and T&E policy administration (issuance, deactivation, disputes, reimbursements).
  • Controls mindset: SOX-ready documentation, audit trails, least-privilege access, and segregation of duties.
  • Advanced Sheets/Excel skills (reconciliations, lookups, pivots) and comfort with data imports/exports.
  • Experience using AI for data analysis, program management, and/or supplier/stakeholder communications
  • Clear, executive-level communication and structured stakeholder management, with the ability to lead cross-functional Procurement integration and engage operational teams to resolve dependencies.
  • Experience with Navan (or Concur) and Oracle Fusion integrations preferred.
  • Understanding of global tax and supplier onboarding nuances (VAT/GST, 1099, W-8/W-9) preferred.
Success Measures
  • Supplier integration: Every target-company supplier has a documented transition or exit decision, owner, and completion status; required contract cutovers, TPRM checks, cancellations, and operational handoffs are completed against the agreed integration plan.
  • AP reconciliation: >99% of scoped open items cleared; zero duplicate payments; clean audit trail of journals and approvals.
  • Vendor master hygiene: ?98% active suppliers validated; duplicate rate <0.5%; all banking/tax changes fully auditable.
  • Card transition: 100% non-retained cards deactivated within 2 business days; 100% issuance to retained staff within 5 business days; no material fraud incidents.
  • Cutover readiness: Payment reroutes and supplier notifications completed ?10 business days before first consolidated pay run.
  • Enablement & docs: Complete SOPs, playbooks, and handover package accepted by Accounting and Procurement; automation triggers live with measured reduction in exceptions.
