What You’ll Do

MGT is looking to hire an M&A Integrations Director to assist the Office of the CFO in integrating newly acquired companies. The director will support the deal lifecycle from early-stage integration planning through post-close execution, including completion of the integration. We seek an energetic, self-motivated, and solution-focused individual capable of collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Responsibilities include planning and supporting finance and accounting (“F&A”) integration activities, partnering across the organization, and communicating with leaders at target companies. Effective communication, planning, execution, and adaptability are critical. The ability to motivate and influence without overt authority, and to build relationships among stakeholders, is essential.

In This Role, You Will Be

  • Leading the end-to-end F&A integration process, both strategically and tactically, as the primary point of contact for all F&A outcomes.
  • Creating an F&A integration plan for each transaction, organizing pre-integration diligence, closing and Day 1 activities, and executing post-close plans.
  • Supporting diligence and pre-close activities such as documentation, F&A operations analysis, systems analysis, and data analysis.
  • Managing post-close activities including obtaining financial documentation, operational execution, billing, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI management.
  • Calculating networking capital, purchase allocation, and other acquisition accounting metrics.
  • Leading client and matter data conversion, working with stakeholders to map and convert data to MGT standards for reporting.
  • Creating and executing F&A communication strategies, including project planning and status updates.
  • Leading workflows around working capital, clients, vendors, bank accounts, and treasury items.
  • Leading accounting workstream meetings, collaborating on key decisions, and managing dependencies.
  • Managing multiple integrations concurrently and building out the F&A integration toolset.
  • Proactively identifying areas for improvement and collaborating on solutions.
  • Performing other activities as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience, with four (4) or more years in pre- and post-merger integrations.
  • Experience documenting, communicating, and responding to inquiries and challenges.
  • Proven leadership skills, especially in ambiguous environments.
  • Experience operating in unstructured, collaborative settings.
  • Experience aligning stakeholders across teams and seniority levels.
  • Experience analyzing large data sets throughout a deal lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accounting degree and CPA preferred.
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
