Job summary

UPS is seeking a Finance & Accounting Special Projects Data Analytics supervisor to support mergers and acquisitions data analytics, improve data extraction using tools such as Alteryx, Oracle Cloud and Excel, and streamline record-to-report processes.

The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to analyze trends, prepare budgets, and support GAAP disclosures, with an emphasis on value-added insights and efficient project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (or internationally comparable degree).
• Experience with SEC filing and reporting is preferred.
• Experience with data analysis and project management tools is preferred; public accounting background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply problem solving and domain finance knowledge for insights and process simplification.
• Clear writing and communication to senior audiences for data analysis.
• Create data visualizations, dashboards and reports from data relationships.
• Assist desktop diligence to identify inorganic growth opportunities.
• Analyze data of potential target companies to summarise current state of business and finance processes.
• Evaluate synergies and create databooks to facilitate discussions with stakeholders.
• Maintain and organize records for project files accessibility.
• Calculate deal-specific financial metrics to assess valuation.
• Assist in creating executive overviews describing transaction and valuation fundamentals.
• Support analysis of non-public information to identify material findings.
• Coordinate live and virtual diligence meetings and timelines.
