Job summary

Modus Audit is building the future of the deal lifecycle in private markets and seeks a candidate to run the full deal lifecycle from outreach to close. You will lead cross-functional diligence across finance, operations, legal and technology while developing investment theses and prioritizing targets aligned with Modus’ strategy.

The role requires strong financial modeling skills, a high ownership mindset, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, transaction advisory, or strategy consulting.
• Demonstrated experience executing transactions across the full lifecycle, with increasing ownership.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; ability to independently build and pressure-test operating and deal models.
• Comfort managing multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear and concise communicator with strong judgement and decision-making discipline.
• High ownership mindset with strong attention to detail and execution rigor.
• Bonus: experience with professional services M&A.

Responsibilities

• Run the full deal lifecycle from initial outreach through LOI, diligence, closing, and early integration.
• Build and manage a high-quality pipeline of investment targets, including direct outreach to firm owners, brokers, and advisors.
• Develop investment theses, conduct market mapping, and prioritize targets aligned with Modus’ strategy.
• Lead cross-functional diligence across financial, operational, legal, regulatory, and technology workstreams.
• Own valuation and underwriting, including building financial models, scenario analyses, and return frameworks.
• Partner with operations and finance on post-close integration planning and early performance tracking.
