Selby Jennings, on behalf of a respected middle-market investment bank, seeks an Investment Banking Associate to join its Charlotte office. You will work on complex M&A and capital-raising transactions with exposure to private equity sponsors, founder-led businesses, and corporate executives.The role offers meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and opportunities to build expertise across industries, with mentorship from senior bankers and a clear path for advancement.

Formación

• 2-5 years of investment banking experience or successful completion of an investment banking analyst program.
• Strong M&A transaction experience and understanding of the deal execution process.
• Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills, including DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and LBO modeling.
• Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple live projects simultaneously.

Responsabilidades

• Execute mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, recapitalization, and strategic advisory engagements.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials.
• Prepare client presentations, pitch books, confidential information memorandums, and management presentations.
• Conduct industry, market, and company research to support transaction execution and origination efforts.
• Coordinate due diligence processes and manage interactions among clients, buyers, lenders, investors, and advisors.
• Participate in management meetings, investor calls, and sponsor discussions.
• Work closely with senior bankers on business development efforts and industry coverage initiatives.
• Mentor and review work completed by Analysts.
