Job summary

The Equus Group, a healthcare advisory firm in Chicago, seeks an M&A Associate to work with senior professionals on live transactions, gaining hands-on exposure to financial modeling, valuation, and industry research.

You will support buy-side and sell-side engagements, prepare pitch materials and client deliverables, develop target lists, and contribute to strategy and execution within a lean, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1+ years of experience in investment banking.
• Strong understanding of accounting, financial statements, valuation methodologies, and the M&A process.
• Strong financial modeling and quantitative analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

The team works across buy-side, sell-side, joint venture, and other strategic engagements, providing clients with objective analysis, financial expertise, and transaction execution support.

As an M&A Associate, you will work directly alongside senior M&A professionals on live transactions, gaining hands-on exposure to financial modeling, valuation, industry research, and the day-to-day execution of deals.
