Job summary

J.P. Morgan in Chicago seeks an experienced Analyst to join our M&A Mid-Cap team. In this role you will contribute to the firm's execution of M&A transactions and capital raising capabilities, working closely with senior bankers and cross-functional teams.

You will develop strong skills in financial modeling, due diligence, and client presentations, while gaining training, mentoring, and broad exposure to the investment banking lifecycle within a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in an investment banking front office role.
• Experience in a top-tier consulting firm (financial, commercial, or operational due diligence).
• Understanding of the transaction cycle and execution oriented.
• Impeccable communication skills with senior professionals, clients and stakeholders in other line of business.
• Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Executing Transactions: support due diligence, document preparation, negotiation and liaising with clients and advisers.
• Working with J.P. Morgan product and sector teams.
• Building and using complex financial models, valuation and analytical exercises.
• Drafting presentation materials for M&A and capital markets transactions.
• Staying abreast of market developments and target client base.
