Job summary

Oliver Wyman is seeking an ambitious Consulting Actuary to join the US P&C M&A team. The role focuses on due diligence, data analysis, and advisory work for insurance clients, with opportunities to engage globally.

The candidate will contribute to risk assessment, pricing, reserving, and analytics, while collaborating across our US and global practices to deliver client solutions and build industry contacts.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Actuarial Science or related field.
• 3+ years of professional actuarial experience in consulting or insurance.
• FCAS credential required.
• Broad exposure to P&C insurance with expertise in at least one area.
• Ability to lead and manage projects and deliver client solutions.
• Proficiency in Python or R for analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Execute actuarial due diligence for M&A and reinsurance transactions, reviewing reports, data and models.
• Quantify downside risk using stochastic models.
• Explore data to find shifts and create narratives and recommendations.
• Develop executive level management reports and data visualizations.
• Present findings to senior management and C-suite executives.
• Build a network in the industry through deals and conferences.
