Job summary

Oliver Wyman is seeking an ambitious Consulting Actuary to join the US P&C M&A team. The role involves due diligence, data analysis, and communication with senior leadership across the US and globally. You will work with clients including insurers, reinsurers, asset managers, and banks on complex transactions.

Requirements include FCAS, a BA/BS in a related field, 3+ years’ actuarial experience, and strong Python or R skills. A hybrid/remote work model is supported in the Northeast region.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in actuarial science or related field; FCAS credential required.
• 3+ years of actuarial consulting/insurance experience.
• Proficiency in Python or R.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities beyond technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute actuarial due diligence projects for M&A and reinsurance transactions, reviewing reports, data and models.
• Quantify downside risk using stochastic models.
• Perform exploratory data analysis on exposure/loss data to inform recommendations.
• Develop executive-level management reports with data visualizations.
• Present findings to senior management and C-suite executives.
• Build a network through industry deals and conferences; support sales and proposals.
• Collaborate with US and global management consulting and actuarial teams.
